Yesterday I read a study conducted a couple of years ago by a group of scientists. They asked high school girls about their favorite activities and 97% said “shopping” and “going to the movies”.

While I enjoy going shopping myself, it is kind of sad that most of our favorite activities are closely linked with spending money. Maybe this is why the majority of people struggle with credit card debts?

I am a true believer that in order to have fun, you do not have to spend a lot of money! In fact, the brightest and happiest memories of my life have nothing to do with money.

I can vaguely recall what I bought the last time I went shopping, but I vividly remember a picnic in a park with my family when they came to visit me in Milan.

One of my favorite things to do when I have some free time is reading great books (sometimes I also indulge in romantic and fiction novels.  What can I say? Guilty pleasures still feel good!).
