person who inspires you 300x202 What Person Has Inspired You Most? When I think about it, there are many people who have inspired and touched me in some way:

  • my mom, who taught me to not be quick to judge other people
  • my dad, who taught me to be honest no matter what
  • my mentors, who have helped me to grow and who have never let me get away with any excuses
  • my wonderful friends, who have always been there for me no matter if I needed a shoulder to cry on or some moral support and motivation
  • spiritual leaders, who with their personal example showed me what true love, compassion and forgiveness was
  • great writers, whose words have touched my heart and motivated me to change
  • successful people, who have encouraged me to follow their footsteps and work harder toward my dreams
  • my readers, who have inspired me to start this blog and continue to inspire me every single day

Is there ever been person in your life who has inspired you the most?

Someone who has pushed you beyond your limits? Someone who has encouraged you when you doubted your own abilities? Someone who would not let you quit just because it got hard? Someone who has inspired you to pursue your dreams, to grow, to become a little better in some way?

Hi Christinemarie, I googled Rene Jules Lalique and I agree with you. He was a great Art Nouveau designer. The jeweleries that he designed are exquisite just as his glass work. I can't believe I haven't heard of him before!
Thanks to you I learned something new. ;)

Inspiration can come from some historical figure that has opened your eyes to humanity and possibility, for me that person is Earl Warren

  • Aaron

My dad, who never gave up on his dreams, even when he was poor and without a family to go to!

Hello, friends! Without a doubt, it is Jesus. Sounds pretty cliche's in this day and age, but it is from my heart. There have been many times in my life when 'people' have walked out, but there is always this Friend in Jesus who is always by my side. When I read through the list of those who have inspired, sadly, I'd shake my head and say, “nope, not that person or no not that one either.” People have 'failed' me, just as I know they have for most(and I have failed others). I am not unique. However, Jesus was a true model for how people should love, treat others, not be judgmental, to be merciful, and think outside the box. He wasn't a religious icon to which people could only worship from a distance. He involved himself in the lives of others, made sure all people felt comfortable with him, and never excluded anyone. His story, His life, His purpose are my inspiration.

It is only in one person whose name is JESUS CHRIST that I find inspiration.
He teaches with himself as an example for all to see.
He is my greatest ASSET of inspiration.

Hi Countryporch02! I agree – Jesus has been an inspiration for me too. And I don't think it sounds like a cliche', especially if it comes from your heart. You also mentioned a really good point that I have been thinking about for a long time now – many people perceive Jesus as a perfect divine being that we should worship as God Himself. And this is true – Jesus is the eternal Son of God, but He is also completely human. I believe that Jesus came to earth as a human being not to become a religious idol that we should address our requests and prayers to, but to show us with His life that we, too, can become more like Him (judge others less, forgive those who have done us wrong, ecc…) Faith for me is not something that you passively accept. It is something that you actively do, to constantly improve yourself.
This is how I see it, but I do not imply that my point of view is the only correct one.
Thank you, again, for your sharing. :)

Waltk15, thank you for your sharing. Earl Warren's life story is definitely worth learning about. He was truly a man of courage, who was not afraid to stand up for what he believed in.

Aaron, you are lucky to have a dad like that. If he taught you to always pursue your dreams and never give up when things go wrong, he had probably taught you one of the most important lessons of all.

The person who has inspired me the most is CHRIS GARDENER , NO DOUBT..HE HAS INSPIRED ME TO GO ON WITH LIFE WHATEVER THE CIRCUMSTANCES ARE.

My father started telling me about goals and self improvement when I was a teenager. This has proved to be a huge advantage to me over the years in so many ways. Watching his work ethic, successes and more importantly his mistakes… he would be proud of the path I am on…. and my 2 children offer me inspiration and motivation daily especially when I myself am challenged with “pressing on”… I think about my actions changing their life, then proceed to do the next right thing and live “Full Out”

Finally …(my dad taught me this) audio programs especially Dr. Wayne Dyer's for the last 20 years has changed my life. There were many times when others weren't available but I knew if I put on one of these CD's my coach would be there… Recently in a “funk” of living kinda half speed I started listening to Steve Siebold's 177 Mental Toughness Secrets of the World Class – and this program has reminded of who I am and what I am capable of.

    Anyone can do this anytime.
    Great Blog!

The person who inspired me the most is a professor I just had a class, called Academic Strategies’. I pushed myself, to do the best work I could, and Prof Trish, encouraged me to do more. Not by saying you’re not up to par, far from it, the more I do, the more she inspires me to reach higher.
I had to leave my program of study for medical reasons, but I insisted on finishing that and another class I was taking. Instead of quitting completely Trish helped me find my true desire—to teach. Through her encouragement, her dogged insistence I could do this, proof reading applications and my personal statements, and sending the message to me constantly, that this was something God wanted to happen, encouraged me even further. Each time my patience wore thin, she’d remind me sometimes Satan tries to stop you from what God wants you to do. Sometimes instead of pearls of wisdom a new song from YouTube would be my message from her.
I applied and was accepted into a Master of Higher Education program. I never could have done this without Trish; she kept me fired up until the end. When I start classes, I know she’ll still be walking beside me to encourage, and chastise, when I want to do less than I’m capable.
Trish is also my tie to my spiritual life, through her; I have realized none of this would be possible without my beliefs. Since we share such similar beliefs, talking to her about how these affect my everyday life gives me peace, and helps me grow.
She introduced me to YouTube, and now I listen to all Contemporary Christian musicians who I have always loved, but this brings it to a whole new level. Her wisdom in knowing these songs would reach out to me, to also encourage, and settle me down in times of anguish was another way she inspired me
For one to inspire another, one has to be honest, and have faith in their own abilities as well as know how to be the God given person they are, before they can inspire you—this is true of Trish, she’s the real deal, and expects nothing less from me.

Thank you for the comment Pooja. I watched an interview with Chris Gardener just last week. He is an awesome person who have proved with his personal example that your background, your education, your connections do not really matter. All that matters is your desire to pursue your goals and your determination to achieve them. :)

The one person who has inspired me the most was a neurosurgeon (Dr. Tracy). He has done several operations on me and is what I call “The Wizard of Wisdom”. Since I was a child I have always wanted to work in the medical profession. At first my dream was to become a Veternarian, I then thought about Psychology. My mind was changing back and forth and I just could not decide. After my second brain surgery I received a Grant to go back to school. I jumped on it. I chose to go for 'Bachelors of Health Science'. I am so glad I did. With this dergree I have such a wide selection to choose from. Thanks to Dr.Tracy and the grant I can now go further and live the life I really want. Thanks, ): o ) Beth
