Inspirational Video: Change for a Dollar

The story seems pretty simple: an ordinary homeless guy, just like one of the many we see on the streets almost daily, is asking for change.

Only the man is not so ordinary and the change he asks for is not the kind of change you might think of.

To me this video is the best example of true charity. Charity that does not start with a thousand-dollar check written in the name of a philanthropic organization, but one that starts deep in the heart, with compassion and awareness of the needs of other people.

If you have just ten free minutes today, use them to watch this video!

Could you be the change in somebody’s life today?

Inspirational Video from Benjamin Zander that will Make Your Eyes Shine

Have you ever met people who have clear purpose in life and live it with passion? People like this are rare but if you ever come in contact with them their enthusiasm, their commitment, their passion will inevitably rub off on you and this encounter will change your own perception of the world.

World famous conductor and speaker Benjamin Zander is clearly one of these people. In this 20-minute video he shares his wisdom, his electrifying ideas and his love for music in such a way that you can not help but feel engaged, recharged and deeply touched by his words. One of his ideas is the importance of becoming a “one-buttock player”, surrendering the need to stay in control and just letting your passion guide you.

Watch this video, take away from it as much as you can and check if your eyes are shining by the end of the talk. Mine were.

I hope that after watching this video we all will try harder not to say anything that could not stand as the last thing we ever say.

Did you like this video? Were your eyes shining?

Inspirational Video: Stop Procrastinating and Eat Your Frog

If you were born in France or the Northern part of Italy the idea of eating frog might not sound so terrible at all, but I meant this metaphorically.

I believe that it was Mark Twain who said, “If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.”

Now, even if you love and enjoy your work, you will still have to face a few occasional tasks that are unpleasant, too challenging or boring. And then the idea of procrastinating will surely form in your mind. It is our natural desire to escape what is unpleasant (or at least postpone it for later), but at the end this little habit of procrastinating becomes the main cause of our missed deadlines, conflicts and work stress.

Today I stumbled on this video, created by a great motivational speaker and author Brian Tracy, and I did something I normally never do – I packed my suitcase to go to Verona first thing in the morning, instead of postponing it to the last possible minute. And only after that did I go on to write this post.

I must say, it feels great and my day has surely become much brighter and less stressful.

I encourage you to watch this video and, hopefully, it will inspire you to make a few changes in your morning routine as well!
