5 Non-Obvious Keys to Success

keys to success 199x300 5 Non Obvious Keys to SuccessUsually successful people are praised for their talents, incredible persistence, unbending will-power, high self-confidence, brilliant intelligence and inexhaustible creativity. There is a possibility that just one person can possess all these wonderful and obvious qualities. But I sincerely do not think that ALL successful people are these “god-like” creatures who do not make mistakes or have bad days, like the rest of us mortals.

In fact, my experience shows otherwise. I have been fortunate to meet many highly successful people (some of them are my good friends) and I can tell you that at a first glance they seem no different from me or you. (and, yes, successful people have unproductive days and family arguments, just like everyone else).

But if you look closer you will notice that there are a few things that most successful people intuitively do right. You will never hear them talk about it, because I do not think the majority of them even realize that they are taking these actions.

It is actually funny, but most famous people achieve success first and then assume that they must have done it, because of their unstoppable determination and bright mind.

If you want to be successful, stop comparing your personal qualities with the list of “The top 20 traits of successful people”! You only set yourself up for disappointment and self-esteem problems.

Instead concentrate your efforts on doing just these 5 ridiculously easy things:

1. Do an extra 1%.

In business to gain total control of a company it is not enough to have more stakes than any other stake holder. You need 51%. In politics 1% preponderance determines the future of a whole country. Similar, when your odds for success or failure are equal, it is often 1% of your effort, your attitude, and your determination that makes a difference.

Do you remember a task that you did not have time for, but you managed to do anyway? Or when you were on the verge of giving up, but you persisted a little bit longer? Or the time when you wanted to roll your eyes and slam the door in your boss’s face but you clung to the last note of patience and, therefore, avoided an open argument? This one percent of extraordinary effort often manifests in ordinary situations.

If on a daily basis you manage to: do something a little better, resist the temptation to “throw in the towel” a little longer, try a little harder not to jump to conclusions about what other people are or are not– I promise you that you WILL become successful.

Top 9 Laws of Abundance and Wealth

One of the oldest juridical principle states “Ignorance of the law excuses no one”. It means that even if we are unaware of the law, we still cannot escape liability for violating it.
Universal Abundance Laws follow the same principle. You might not be aware of them, but it does not mean that they do not influence your life and that you will not have to face the consequences for not following them to the letter.
If you feel that no matter what you do or how much you work, you still do not make enough money or live below your expectations and abilities, make sure that you read this!
1. THE LAW OF PAYMENT.  There is nothing free in the world. For anything you want to receive you have to pay first, be it with your money, time or energy. You pay for both – action and inaction. Usually in the long run inaction costs us a lot more than action does.
2. THE LAW OF ATTRACTION. You can attract into your life anything that you focus your mind on. You can focus your energy on what you WANT to get, DO NOT WANT to get or EXPECT to get. If you put your focus towards lack of money, a boring job, bad health, or poor relationships, the Law of Attraction will respond by giving you more of these things. Similar if you focus on positive aspects of your life you will created more situations of joy, happiness and abundance.
3. THE LAW OF REQUEST. You always get what you ask for. If you are not asking for anything, you will get nothing. If you do not know exactly what you want, prepare yourself for a big unpleasant surprise, that most of us call a “problem”.
4. THE LAW OF THINKING. Our reality is just a reflection of our inner thoughts and decisions. If it you can not visualize it, you can not get it.  People become wealthy because they decide to become wealthy. Those, who remain poor, simply have not made the decision to change their current situation. Any change always starts with a shift of attitude.
5. THE LAW OF ENERGY EXCHANGE. The law of conservation of energy states that the total amount of energy in the Universe remains constant. There should always be healthy balance between what you give and what you ask for.
If you give more than you take, you will quickly exhaust your resources. If you take more than you give, you will block the abundance flow. Material objects, thoughts, emotions and experiences exist to be shared with others. Otherwise, they lose their purpose.
6. THE LAW OF SIMILARITY. Like attracts like. Abundance creates more abundance. Just as scarcity attracts more scarcity. The easiest way to activate a flow of abundance is to pass on to someone what you would like to receive.
When you give something away, without expecting anything in return, you declare to the Universe that you already have more than you need. By doing that you send out into the world an energy of abundance and that energy comes back to you.
7. THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT. Any natural effect in our life has a natural cause. You cannot grow a fruit without planting a seed first. Similar, results that you receive today are the “fruits” of your past decisions and actions. If you do not like the results that you are getting, it is probably time to start doing something differently or make different choices.
8. THE LAW OF RESISTANCE. Activation of the flow of abundance does not necessarily guarantee that your financial situation will improve. Energy always tends to choose the path of least resistance.
If you are doing everything right and still do not see any improvements in your financial situation, it can mean only one thing – your negative beliefs or inner blocks do not allow the abundance energy to flow into your life. Ask yourself, why are you not wealthy yet? What is blocking you from getting what you want?
9. THE LAW OF RELATIVITY. Everything in this life is relative. Your income is just a number unless it has point of reference. If you compare yourself with the richest people of the world, you will constantly feel lack of money and, consequently, attract more lack. If you compare yourself with the poorest of the world, you may  realize how blessed you are.
Gratitude is a great way to keep your mind concentrated on abundance and wealth. Like a powerful magnet it keeps us in the flow and aligns our energy with receiving everything that we desire. There is always something to be grateful for. Take a moment to say “Thank you!” for all the wonderful things that you already have in your life. And the Universe will take care of the rest.

How ‘Consumer Mentality’ Deprives You From Being Successful and Happy

About three weeks ago I watched an interview with a very successful real estate marketer. He mentioned that people have two different types of mentalities: consumer mentality and creator mentality.
People with consumer mentality are focused on extracting value. It is sort of “What’s in it for me?” way of thinking. People with creator mentality are focused on creating value. They think about what they can do to help others and how they can create value for other people and for themselves.
What does mentality have to do with financial success? Everything! Until you are focused on extracting value, your chances of earning a lot of money are very slim. And even if you earn it, you will still not be able to enjoy it.
I know that it sounds a little disappointing. After all, the fastest and easiest way to get rich most of us can think about is to win the lottery and not to provide value for others first and to receive a reward for it later. Maybe that is why the gambling industry is thriving even during times of recession. Interestingly enough, though, research shows that 97% of people who have won over one million dollars on the lottery after 5 years end up even more broke and unhappy than the day before they won.
We have all heard the phrase from the Bible (Luke 6:38) “Give and it will be given to you”, but how many of us take it close to heart and live by it? We all try to do our best, but in general it is counter-intuitive for us to focus on someone else’s needs, problems and desires. According to Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs we cannot pursue higher order needs, like affiliation and relationships until our own needs for physical and emotional well-being are satisfied.
Although, after our basic survival and safety needs are met it is natural for us to aim higher and concentrate our energy on improving our relationships, seeking personal growth and achieving higher career status.
But again, our Hierarchy of Needs is centered on our own desires, not the desires of others. We do not wake up in the morning thinking, “I have a strong need to help my neighbor mow his lawn!” or “I can’t wait to donate $200 to charity! ”
If we want to be wealthy, we dream about winning the lottery or becoming a movie star, but only a few of us actually ask ourselves, “How do I give people information that costs $100 and ask them to pay only $10 for it?”
Even as I write this sentence, a little voice in the back of my mind keeps saying, “why would you give away information that costs 100 bucks for a tenth of the price?!”
It is very hard to make that mind shift from consumer to creator mentality, but it is necessary if you want to be successful financially and personally.
Imagine having a full glass of water and taking a little sip out of it every day. If you no one refills it, after some time you will find yourself thirsty, but your glass will be empty. There should always be a healthy balance between how much you take and how much you give, and I am not just talking about money. This Energy Exchange Law is Universal. For example, any relationship that starts wonderfully is doomed if one of the partners feels that they are giving a lot and receiving very little in return. The single biggest reason behind 99% of all fights is that our expectations have not been met. Sometimes we are so busy concentrating on what another person should do or has not done for us that we completely forget to pay attention to their needs and to the fact that they, too, want to feel appreciated and loved.
And even though is it not easy to make that switch from “What I want to get” to “What I can give” way of thinking it is well-worth trying, because until you concentrate on extracting value there will be no miraculous changes in your life or in life in general.
